What is an electronic signature?
This technology allows, without a digital certificate, the formalization of electronic documents and has several technical evidences.
Electronic Signature Concept
The Electronic Signature is the genre to indicate the species of identification of authorship regarding any document formulated by electronic means. Therefore, while the Electronic Signature is equivalent to the gender, the Digital Signature is defined as one of the gender types.
The nomenclature “electronic signature” was chosen due to the fact that it characterizes a broad sense expression, that is, broader in comparison to the digital signature. The term "electronic signature" would be technologically neutral, as it keeps the techniques open to be adopted, while the term "digital signature", a type of the electronic signature genre, would be choosing the asymmetric cryptography beforehand.
Among the types of Electronic Signature, we can mention: Passwords, Digital Signature, Digital Signature and Digital Acceptance.
